Project Update, June 2023

1 June 2023

The last update provided in December 2022 advised The Foundation was looking for a new name reflective of the intent of our model of continence care project.

We are happy to advise that we have submitted a new name and logo to IP Australia for our best practice continence care program. We look forward to sharing this information, including the logo with you once our submission has been confirmed.

For us, co-design is about working alongside people with lived experience, people working within the sector and other interested parties and for this reason our project has included the engagement of an internal working group and a reference group made up of relevant and interested stakeholders. Thank you to everyone involved who has offered their time, expertise, and experience so far, it is has been incredibly valuable. Most recently we have brainstormed an evaluation methodology for our model of continence care pilot.

Over the last couple of months, the team here at the Continence Foundation have been focused on actioning items for improvement as identified through feedback from the pilot program. Further work is being undertaken to ensure the technical integration is streamlined for people engaged with the model of continence care, refinement of the education modules has been undertaken to optimise uptake for the aged care workforce. We look forward to sharing further information with everyone in the coming months.

Tell us what you think

The pilot program isn’t the only way the Model of Continence Care is collecting information and feedback that will ultimately feed into the design of the program.
